`THERE IS NO EMERGENCY SITUATION` - PRVA TV

The residents of Novo Selo, Međurovo, Cokot, Bubanj villages in the Nis City Municipality of Palilula and Belotinac in the Municipality of Doljevac,are still in fear of new and upcoming rain waters. They, as they say, remain dissatisfied with the speed and efficiency of solving problems in their neighborhoods, streets and even houses. The representatives of the Municipality of Palilula are still standing in its opinion that the declaration of emergency is necessary, despite the opinion of staff for emergency situations in Nis. They feel that it is necessary to take urgent measures to pump out the water and carry out pest and rodent control of the soil. The residents of these villages are asking the City to help them as soon as possible. `I share the opinion of all our fellow citizens, I appeal to solve this problem with our cool heads and in calm way. I'm not accusing anyone, but I insist to move aggressively to resolve the problem, says Boban Džunić, president of Palilula Municipality.

However, the deputy commander for emergencies, Prof. Dr. Zarko Rankovic, says that he and his associates daily visit ndustrial zone in Donje Medjurovo. He claims that the water receded considerably and there is no need of introducing emergency state.
